Im Frühjahr habe ich mich in meinem diesjährigen 100-Tage-Projekt mit Collagen beschäftigt. Danach hatten Pinsel und Malspachtel wieder die Herrschaft im Atelier.
Jetzt möchte ich mal wieder mit Papier und Klebstoff arbeiten, inspiriert durch ein Projekt in der Artist Community der Künstlerin Lydia Rink.
Während ich im Frühjahr mit allem an Papier gespielt habe, was mir in die Finger fiel, möchte ich nun nur eigens hergestelltes Collagematerial nutzen. Und noch eine weitere Beschränkung gibt es: Ich verwende nur Schwarz und Weiß und die daraus gemischten Grautöne.
Im heutigen Video zeige ich euch, wie ich mein Material für die Collagen erstelle.
Aus diesen Papieren sollen in der nächsten Zeit abstrakte Collagen entstehen. Die Bildkomposition spielt dabei eine wichtige Rolle, denn die Collagen sollen ausgewogen und trotzdem interessant sein, sollen Abwechslung bieten und Harmonie. Ich bin gespannt, wie sie sich entwickeln werden.

In the studio: collages in black and white – part 1
In spring I dealt with collages in my 100-day project this year. After that, brushes and spatulas once again ruled the studio.
Now I want to work with paper and glue again, inspired by a project in the Artist Community by artist Lydia Rink.
While in spring I played with whatever paper I could get my hands on, I now only want to use collage material that I have made myself for this purpose. And there is another limitation: I only use black and white and the shades of gray mixed from them.
In today’s video above I show you how I create my material for the collages.
I will create abstract collages from these papers in the near future. The image composition plays an important role, because the collages should be balanced and still interesting, should offer variety and harmony. I’m curious how they will develop.
