Endlich ist es so weit! Am Montag, 27. März 2023, um 18:00 Uhr findet die Vernissage für unsere Ausstellung „4NATURE“ statt.
Wir sind vier Künstlerinnen, die sich mit Themen rund um Natur, Umwelt und Klimakrise beschäftigt haben. Jede hat ihren eigenen Schwerpunkt und ihre eigene Herangehensweise, die Ausstellung wird also abwechslungsreich.
Aufgrund von Corona haben wir immer wieder verschoben, jetzt hoffen wir, dass nichts mehr dazwischen kommt.
Für die Ausstellung habe ich einerseits Acryl- und Mixed-Media-Arbeiten auf Leinwand gemacht, andererseits Digitalcollagen, die ich auf Alu-Dibond habe drucken lassen. Die Digital-Collagen könnt ihr euch hier anschauen. Es geht dabei vor allem um unseren Umgang mit der Welt und die Klimaerwärmung.
Entstanden sind die Arbeiten alle Ende 2019 und Anfang 2020, sind also jetzt drei Jahre alt. Und vor allem bei einer habe ich jetzt festgestellt, dass ich noch etwas daran machen sollte.
Die Installation „Erde im Blick“ aus neun quadratischen Leinwänden zeigt Aspekte unseres Raubbaus an der Erde. Die Leinwände sind mit Karabinerhaken und Ösen verbunden, bewegt man eine, bewegt sich alles.
Bei der einen oder anderen Leinwand kann noch an Details, vor allem an den Kontrasten gefeilt werden, was ich damals gar nicht wahrgenommen habe.
Und was machen die anderen Künstlerinnen?
Sandra Louise Kriegeskotte stellt Menschen in den Mittelpunkt ihrer Portraits, die mit ihrer hohen Wertschätzung für die Natur ein Vorbild für uns sein können.
Susanne Heitmann-Liehr wirft einen Blick auf die scheinbar intakte Natur und die Kreaturen in ihr. Außerdem lässt sie Organisches wachsen und wuchern, denn die Natur passt sich an und überlebt.
Petra Döhl-Becher stellt mit ihren Bildern von Tomaten und Äpfeln die Frage, warum wir die Natur nicht annehmen können, wie sie ist, und wertschätzen, was sie uns schenkt.
Wir hoffen, dass viele die Ausstellung im Bürgerdorf sehen werden. Auch Menschen, die sich sonst für Kunst weniger interessieren. Denn das Thema Natur und Umwelt geht uns alle an.

4NATURE – joint exhibition in Waldbröl
Finally the time has come! The vernissage for our exhibition “4NATURE” will take place on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
We are four artists who have dealt with topics related to nature, the environment and the climate crisis. Each has its own focus and approach, so the exhibition will be varied.
Due to Corona we have postponed again and again, now we hope that nothing will get in the way anymore.
For the exhibition, I made acrylic and mixed media works on canvas on the one hand, and digital collages on the other, which I had printed on Alu-Dibond. You can view the digital collages here. The main issues are how we treat the world and global warming.
The works were all created in late 2019 and early 2020, so they are now three years old. And with one in particular, I’ve now found that I should do something about it.
The installation “Earth in View” consisting of nine square canvases shows aspects of our overexploitation of the earth. The canvases are connected with snap hooks and eyelets, if you move one, everything moves.
One or the other canvas can still be fine-tuned on details, especially on the contrasts, which I didn’t even notice at the time.
And what are the other artists doing?
Sandra Louise Kriegskotte places the focus of her portraits on people who, with their great appreciation for nature, can be a role model for us.
Susanne Heitmann-Liehr takes a look at the seemingly intact nature and the creatures within. She also gets organic things growing on her canvases, because nature adapts and survives.
With her paintings of tomatoes and apples, Petra Döhl-Becher asks why we cannot accept nature as it is and appreciate what it gives us.
We hope that many will see the exhibition in the so called Bürgerdorf. Even people who are otherwise less interested in art. Because the issue of nature and the environment affects us all.
