Sehnsucht nach Meer – fast drei Wochen habe ich keinen Pinselstrich gemacht an der dritten Serie.
Vier der neun Panels waren fertig, als ich wusste, wie ich meine Website umgestalten wollte. Vermutlich wäre es sinnvoll gewesen, zuerst die Serie fertigzustellen und dann das Projekt “Neue Website” anzugehen. Aber ich bin da anders gestrickt. Wenn ich weiß, was ich will, dann muss ich das gleich, aber wirklich sofort umsetzen. Mir war einfach nach Computer-Arbeit. Also mussten die Holzpanels warten.
Nach einer Pause wieder einzusteigen ist so eine Sache. Man ist ein bisschen entwöhnt, muss erst mal wieder warm werden mit Pinsel und Farbe und dem Projekt.
Ich habe mich gefragt, ob man an den Bildern der Serie später sehen wird, wo die Unterbrechung war. Erkennt man, welches die ersten vier und welches die fünf weiteren sind? Oder wird die Serie trotz der Pause eine Einheit bilden?
Ein Vorteil: Die reduzierte Farbpalette. Drei Farben plus Weiß und Schwarz, da lassen sich Farbtöne auch nach einer Pause wieder passend mischen.
Außerdem war ich mit meinen Holzpanels schon weit gediehen, war sozusagen auf der Zielgeraden. Alle Bilder waren auf dem gleichen Entwicklungsstand und es fehlten nur noch letzte Arbeiten. Da zu unterbrechen war vergleichsweise unproblematisch.
Die Fortsetzung gelang also recht einfach, sodass die Serie wohl in den nächsten Tagen vollendet wird. Ein schönes Gefühl.
Und danach stellt sich die Frage, ob ich mit einer vierten Serie zu “Sehnsucht nach Meer” weitermache oder erstmal etwas ganz anderes male.
Will there be a split?
Longing for the sea – I haven’t made a brushstroke on the third series for almost three weeks.
Four of the nine panels were ready when I knew how to redesign my website. It would probably have made sense to complete the series first and then tackle the “New Website” project. But I’m made differently. If I know what I want, then I have to do it right away, but really immediately. I just felt like working on the computer. So the wooden panels had to wait.
Getting back on after a break is one of those things. You are a bit weaned, you have to warm up again with brush and paint and the project.
I was wondering if the pictures in the series would later show where the interruption was. Do you know which are the first four and which are the five others? Or will the series form a unit despite the break?
One advantage: the reduced color palette. Three colors plus white and black, so colors can be mixed again even after a break.
In addition, I was already well advanced with my wooden panels, I was on the home stretch, so to speak. All pictures were on the same level of development and only the last few work was missing. Interrupting there was comparatively unproblematic.
The sequel was quite easy, so the series will probably be completed in the next few days. A nice feeling.
And then the question arises whether I will continue with a fourth series on “Longing for the Sea” or paint something completely different first.
