Heute Nachmittag kamen sie per Post: Zwölf Passepartouts für einige der Collagen aus dem 100-Tage-Projekt.
Eigentlich schade, wenn all die Collagen im Dunkel einer Kiste verschwinden, dachte ich mir. Zumindest einige gehören mit Passepartout und Rahmen in Szene gesetzt. Da die Collagen keinem Standard-Format entsprechen, sind auch die Passepartouts Maßanfertigungen. Mit ihren 30 x 40 cm Außenmaß geben sie den Collagen im Format 15 x 15 cm Raum. Der Bildausschnitt ist nicht mittig sondern leicht nach oben versetzt fürs optische Gleichgewicht.
Ich habe zwölf Collagen ausgewählt und mit Klebeband an den Passepartouts fixiert.
Von der großen Rolle habe ich dafür Streifen abgeschnitten, die jeweils etwas länger als die Blattseiten sind. Ein nasser Schwamm dient zum Anfeuchten der Klebeseite.
Das Klebeband darf jetzt gut trocknen und morgen kommen die Collagen dann in ihre Rahmen und anschließend ins galerie.mobil.
Signiert habe ich allerdings heute schon, und zwar mit Bleistift auf dem Passepartout.
Wundert ihr euch über die Signatur? Wie kann man daraus “Lösken” lesen?
Kann man nicht. Ich signiere mit meinem stilisierten Mädchennamen “Burmeister”. Schließlich male ich schon länger als ich verheiratet bin.
Passepartouts for a few collages
They came by post this afternoon: twelve mounts for some of the collages from the 100-day project.
It’s really a shame when all the collages disappear in the dark of a box, I thought to myself. At least some should be staged with mount and frame. Since the collages do not correspond to any standard format, the mounts are also custom-made. With their external dimensions of 30 x 40 cm, they give space to the collages which are 15 x 15 cm. The image section is not in the middle but slightly offset upwards for visual balance.
I selected twelve collages and fixed them to the mounts with adhesive tape.
I cut off strips from the large roll, each a little longer than the sides of the sheet. A wet sponge is used to moisten the adhesive side.
The adhesive tape can now dry well and tomorrow the collages will go into their frames and then into the galerie.mobil (LINK).
However, I have already signed them today, in pencil on the mount.
Are you wondering about the signature? How can one read “Lösken” from it?
One can not. I sign with my stylized maiden name “Burmeister”. After all, I’ve been painting longer than I’ve been married.
