Zum dritten Mal habe ich mir ein Jahresmotto gewählt.
Ich habe es gestaltet, ausgedruckt, laminiert und am Schreibtisch an die Wand gehängt. Dort sehe ich es täglich und es erinnert mich daran, was mir für das aktuelle Jahr wichtig ist.
So ein Motto funktioniert für mich besser als “gute Vorsätze”.
Warum “Mehr Zeit im Atelier”?
Mein Motto für 2021 war “Auf abwechslungsreichen Wegen – meinen Fokus bewahren”. Ich glaube, das hat ganz gut geklappt. Ich habe den Fokus auf meine “Sehnsucht nach Meer” gelegt und mich dem Thema auf ganz unterschiedliche Weise genähert.
Natürlich gab es auch eine Reihe anderer Dinge, mit denen ich mich rund um meine kreative Arbeit beschäftigt habe. Dazu gehören das regelmäßige Bloggen, erste Versuche mit Videos und im Sommer habe ich meine Website komplett neu aufgebaut.
Am Computer verfliegt die Zeit ähnlich schnell wie im Atelier. Und weil ich überhaupt nicht einschätzen konnte, wie viel Zeit die verschiedenen Tätigkeiten beanspruchen, habe ich die Stunden übers Jahr grob notiert in einer Kalkulationstabelle.
Und musste am Ende feststellen, dass ich deutlich weniger als die Hälfte der Zeit im Atelier war. Das möchte ich ändern.

Annual Motto 2022: More time in the studio
For the third time I have chosen an annual motto.
I designed it, printed it out, laminated it and hung it on the wall at my desk. I see it there every day and it reminds me of what is important to me for the current year.
Such a motto works better for me than “good intentions”.
Why “More time in the studio”?
My motto for 2021 was “On varied paths – keeping my focus”. I think that worked out pretty well. I put the focus on my “longing for the sea” and approached the topic in very different ways.
Of course, there were also a number of other things that I dealt with in the context of my creative work. This includes regular blogging, first attempts with videos and in the summer I completely rebuilt my website.
Time flies just as quickly on the computer as in the studio. And because I couldn’t even estimate how much time the various activities would take, I roughly noted the hours over the year in a spreadsheet.
And in the end I realized that I was in the studio significantly less than half the time. I want to change that.
