Auch wenn mein 100-Tage-Projekt “Collage” viel Zeit schluckt – mehr, als ich ursprünglich dachte -, stehe ich auch immer wieder mit Pinsel und Farbe an der Staffelei.
Dieses Mal habe ich ein Bild im Format 50 x 50 cm begonnen, wieder auf einer gebrauchten Leinwand. Nach einer monochromen Untermalung geht es weiter mit reduzierter Palette: Zitrongelb, Magenta, Coelinblau, Weiß und Schwarz.
Im Video zeige ich euch die Entwicklung vom Beginn an.
In der nächsten Malsession könnte das Bild fertig werden, ganz genau sagen kann ich das aber nie.
Und dann sind da ja auch noch die beiden Südfrankreich-Motive, die geduldig auf weitere Farbe warten.
Ich habe den Eindruck, dass ich bei gegenständlichen Bildern besser nur an einem zur Zeit arbeite, auch wenn ich bei allen Bildern dieselbe Palette verwenden will. Vielleicht, weil ich mich dann auf das einzelne Motiv einstelle und nicht hin und her wechsele.
Bei abstrakten Arbeiten scheint dagegen eine parallele Arbeitsweise zu funktionieren.
On my easel: Southern Impression
Even if my 100-day project “Collage” swallows up a lot of time – more than I originally thought – I’m still standing at the easel with brush and paint.
This time I started a 50 x 50 cm painting, again on a used canvas. After a monochrome background, I continue with a reduced palette: lemon yellow, magenta, cerulean blue, white and black.
In the video above I show you the development from the beginning.
The painting could be finished in the next painting session, but I can never say for sure.
And then there are the two motifs from the south of France, which are patiently waiting for more colour.
I feel like working on representational images is better off just one at a time, even if I want to use the same palette on all images. Maybe because I then adapt to the individual motif and don’t switch back and forth.
In the case of abstract works, on the other hand, a parallel working method seems to work.
