Wenn es ums Experimentieren geht, muss man immer damit rechnen, dass nicht alles so gut funktioniert, wie man sich das vielleicht überlegt hat. Denn manchmal hat man eine Idee, die dann in der Umsetzung doch nicht so wirkt wie vorgestellt. Manche Experimente sind eben erfolgreich, andere scheitern – zumindest vorläufig.
Vor einer Woche habe ich euch gezeigt, was ich mit dem ersten Holzpanel ausprobiert habe. Damals war ich noch nicht fertig mit der Feinarbeit, deshalb zeige ich euch heute kurz, was daraus geworden ist.
Und dann habe ich mir die nächste Platte vorgenommen und etwas anderes damit versucht. Spoiler: Ich bin irgendwann stecken geblieben.
Aber schaut selbst.
Am Ende des Videos gibt’s noch einen Ausblick auf das, was ich jetzt als Ausgleich zu den filigranen, eher meditativen Arbeiten an den Holzpanels brauche.
Sie laufen mir ja nicht weg, aber im Moment ist die Staffelei wieder mein bevorzugter Mal-Ort.
In the studio: Success and “failure” with the wooden panels
When it comes to experimenting, you always have to reckon with the fact that not everything works as well as you might have thought. Because sometimes you have an idea that doesn’t work as well as you imagined when it’s implemented. Some experiments are successful, others fail – at least for the time being.
A week ago I showed you what I tried with the first wooden panel. At that time I wasn’t finished with the fine work, so today I’ll show you briefly what became of it.
And then I took on the next panel and tried something different with it. Spoilers: I got stuck at some point.

They don’t run away from me, but at the moment the easel is again my favorite painting place.
