bqunst 2020 – was lange währt wird endlich Mosaik

Im März 2020, kurz nach Beginn der Corona-Pandemie, wurde ein offenes Kunstprojekt ins Leben gerufen von Dunja Landi (Kulturreferentin der Gemeinde Reichshof und dem italienischen Künstler Vincenzo Maraglino.

Die Idee: Wenn Museen und Galerien schließen, dann machen wir selber Kunst – Be Kunst!

Wer auch immer mag – professionelle Künstler*innen, Hobbymaler*innen, Jung, Alt – kann teilnehmen, denn Kunst verbindet.

Keine thematische Einschränkung, einzige Vorgabe: Verwende eine Leinwand im Format 20 x 20 cm – die Jahreszahl als Maßangabe.

Viele haben mitgemacht, die Jüngste war damals fünf Jahre alt, die Älteste über neunzig. Einige haben sich in ihren Bildern mit der Pandemie beschäftigt, andere haben gemalt, wonach ihnen gerade war. Acrylfarben, Collage, eine Assemblage aus medizinischen Masken, eine Figur aus Woll-Pompoms – so vielseitig wie die Kreativen sind auch die entstandenen Werke.

Ich habe eine kleine Serie mit dem Titel “Verbundenheit” geschaffen, die ich euch damals im Blog gezeigt habe. Eins der vier Bilder war für das Projekt bestimmt.

Und endlich, nach rund zwei Jahren, können die Bilder ausgestellt werden.

Als Mosaik kombiniert hängen sie dicht an dicht an einer Stellwand im Rathaus der Gemeinde Denklingen. 98 Quadrate im gewünschten Format, ein paar weitere Arbeiten in etwas größerer Ausführung.

Am letzten Donnerstag, dem 07.04.2022, waren alle Künstler*innen zur Eröffnung eingeladen.

Der stellvertretende Bürgermeister Gottfried Klaus (rechts) und die Kulturreferentin Sarah-Sophie Riedel (2.v.r.) begrüßten die Gäste und fassten das Projekt nochmal für alle zusammen. Besonders erfreulich: Die Mitarbeit war “inter-kommunal”, also über die Grenzen der Gemeinde hinausreichend. Auch hier ein Miteinander, eine Verbundenheit, die in diesen Zeiten so wichtig ist.

Da die Resonanz auf die Kunst-Initiative durchweg positiv war, kündigte Frau Riedel ein Folge-Projekt an. Dieses Mal mit einem zentralen Thema: Heimat.

Die aktuelle Ausstellung in Denklingen läuft dort noch bis zum 13.05.2022, dann zieht das Mosaik für ganz kurze Zeit um nach Eckenhagen ins “Eckenhääner Huus”, um dort am 15. Mai, dem Internationalen Museumstag, beendet zu werden.

bqunst 2020 – what takes a long time will finally become a mosaic

In March 2020, shortly after the start of the corona pandemic, an open art project was launched by Dunja Landi (cultural officer of the Reichshof municipality and the Italian artist Vincenzo Maraglino.

The idea: when museums and galleries close, we make art ourselves – be art!

Whoever likes – professional artists, hobby painter, young, old – can participate, because art connects.

No thematic restrictions, only requirement: use a canvas in the format 20 x 20 cm – the year as measurement.

Many took part, the youngest was five years old at the time, the oldest over ninety. Some have dealt with the pandemic in their pictures, others have painted what they felt like. Acrylic paints, collage, an assemblage of medical masks, a figure made of woolen pompoms – the resulting works are as versatile as the creative people.

I created a small series called “Connection”, which I showed you on the blog at the time. One of the four paintings was intended for the project.

And finally, after about two years, the pictures can be exhibited.

Combined as a mosaic, they hang close together on a partition wall in the Denklingen town hall. 98 squares in the desired format, a few other works in a slightly larger version.

On last Thursday, April 7th, 2022, all artists were invited to the opening.

The deputy mayor Gottfried Klaus (right) and the culture officer Sarah-Sophie Riedel (2nd from right) welcomed the guests and summarized the project for everyone. Particularly pleasing: the cooperation was “inter-municipal”, i.e. reaching beyond the borders of the community. Here, too, a togetherness, a connection that is so important in these times.

Since the response to the art initiative was consistently positive, Ms. Riedel announced a follow-up project. This time with a central theme: home.

The current exhibition in Denklingen runs there until May 13th, 2022, then the mosaic will move to Eckenhagen to the “Eckenhääner Huus” for a very short time to end there on May 15th, International Museum Day.
